Helping Hands Personal Services Combines Hands-On Senior Move Management and Professional Organization Services

Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX. Increasingly, Americans are making hard choices about their parents’ and their own living situations. According to AARP, the population of people 65 and older will increase from 35 million in 2000 to 40 million in 2010 - a 15 percent jump. Meanwhile, the number of people over 85 is projected to grow by 40 percent between 2000 and 2010 - from 4.2 million to 6.1 million, according to the group.

Do mom or dad (or both), relocate to a smaller place, move in with the kids, or into an assisted living facility? Most older adults making a transition have not moved in 30, 40 or 50 years and need to downsize considerably. Whatever choice its clients make, Helping Hands Personal Services helps them discover what they really need in their new lives.

“The organizational and physical tasks associated with planning and implementing such a move can be overwhelming. We help our clients make the transition from one living situation to another as stress free as possible,” says Nancy Peham, Certified Professional Organizer® and owner of Helping Hands. “We’ll handle everything from sorting, packing and unpacking, provide referrals to estate sale professionals, realtors, movers and other service providers who work specifically with senior citizens. We also provide professional organizing services to residential customers who aren’t moving but just need help managing their space.” Helping Hands also coordinates tax-deductible donations to a favorite charity.

Nancy Peham is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), and the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of NAPO. Peham also belongs to Women of Visionary Influence, and conducts workshops about downsizing and organizing for seniors in small or large groups.

For more information on how a professional organizer can destress and declutter your life, or how a senior move manager can ease the stress of life’s transitions, call Nancy Peham at (972) 208-4611 or (214) 274-0106 or visit www.helpinghandsps.com.
